To examine the relative impact of psychological and organizational (unit-level) climate on individual satisfaction and whether shared (unit level) perceptions of the work context are related to an individual's level of satisfaction beyond their own perceptions of the climate. Develops a configural approach to climate which focuses on patterns or systems of interrelated climate dimensions ('climate systems') rather than independent climate dimensions.
