In November, a series of events swept across Asia: in Taiwan, Korea, China, Thailand, India, all this unfolding against a backdrop of a global recession.
What's happening in Thailand? The political situation is still tense between the “yellow shirts”, opponents to the ruling coalition, and the “red shirts”, supporters of the elected party. The dismissal of the government by a court decision results in a gaping political vacuum and this political crisis will be more detrimental to Thai economy than the global recession itself.
At the same latitude, India lived its own 9-11: a series of terrorist attacks in Mumbai. These attacks highlight the federal State's weaknesses and gaps.
