Five years ago, all eyes (and hopes!) were set on India: a prospective market of over one billion people, sustainable growth, promising local partnerships. « You’ll see…, » everybody claimed. We were even told that China was not the new frontier, but that India was. Since then, however, many projects have either been stopped, or delayed indefinitely for various reasons, and foreign direct investments are dropping. How can such a phenomenon be explained?
